As a DCB First Division club, BHSC competes at the highest level of Demerara cricket. Our players represent the club across local, national, and international diaspora competitions, carrying forward a legacy that stretches back over six decades.
From nurturing young talent selected for Guyana Cricket Board national squads to our diaspora team dominating the Ontario Softball Cricket League in Canada, BHSC cricket bridges continents and generations.
BHSC is affiliated with the top cricket governing bodies in Guyana and maintains an active presence in the Canadian diaspora league.
BHSC holds First Division status with the DCB, competing against the top clubs in the Demerara region in formats from T10 to multi-day fixtures.
As a Zone B club within the ECCB, BHSC is a key participant in East Coast Demerara's cricketing ecosystem, developing talent from the grassroots level.
BHSC youth players have been selected for GCB national squads, including three players chosen for the Demerara U16 squad for the 2026 Inter County Tournament.
Our diaspora team in Ontario, Canada competes in the OSCL, winning the 2023 Vish Jadunauth 10/10 Championship and the 2024 Albert Ramcharran 15-Over Championship.

Crowned 2023 champions after defeating Caribbean Sensation in the final. A milestone victory for the Better Hope diaspora team in Ontario.
Won the 2024 championship, defeating Caribbean Sensation by 9 wickets. Led by Davendra Ramkissoon's 16-wicket season as Division A's top bowler.
Reached the 2025 T15 final but fell short against Mercenary. Better Hope scored 108, with Mercenary completing the chase in 9.3 overs.
The Better Hope name flies high across the Atlantic, with our diaspora team competing in the Ontario Softball Cricket League.
The OSCL team connects Guyanese expatriates in Ontario through the sport they love. Competing in Division A, the team has built an impressive record with back-to-back championship titles in 2023 and 2024.

Batsman - Better Hope All Stars
Smashed an incredible 87 runs off just 33 balls in the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast 2025, earning Player of the Match as Better Hope All Stars secured a commanding 131-run victory over No Limit.
Bowler - OSCL Team
Claimed 16 wickets in the 2024 OSCL season, finishing as Division A's leading bowler. His consistent performances were instrumental in Better Hope's Albert Ramcharran 15-Over Championship triumph.
Three BHSC players - Somesh Boyer, Jorden Bissessar, and Aaron Persaud - have been selected for the Demerara U16 squad for the GCB Inter County Tournament (February 16-21, 2026).
The 50-over format tournament is being played at LBI, Rose Hall Canje, and Lusignan. Special thanks to mentors Suresh Budhu and Clive Rampersaud for their guidance in developing these young cricketers.
